Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Strelitzia, including the Strelitzia Discord bot, the web dashboard, and the websites we operate (together, the "Services").

By adding Strelitzia to a Discord server, using any of its commands, or signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Services.

If you add Strelitzia to a Discord server, you confirm that you have permission to do so and that you accept these Terms on behalf of that server's administrators and members.

Strelitzia is a multi-purpose Discord bot. Depending on how a server configures it, the Services may include:

• Moderation: warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, message purging, and verification gates.
• Logging: audit records of message edits and deletions, role changes, and server setting changes.
• Community features: XP leveling and rank cards, mini games, seasonal events, and content alerts.
• Server tooling: tickets, channel setup, welcome messages, auto roles, and the web dashboard used to configure all of it.

Features are enabled and configured by each server's administrators. Some features are released gradually and may not be available to every server. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

Strelitzia is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services, and old enough to use Discord in your country under the Discord Terms of Service — in some regions that minimum age is higher.

Your use of the Services must also comply with the Discord Terms of Service and the Discord Community Guidelines. If you lose access to Discord, you lose access to the Services.

You agree to use the Services lawfully and in good faith. You must not:

• Use the Services to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse anyone, or to distribute hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content.
• Use the Services to break the law, infringe someone's intellectual property, or violate the Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, our infrastructure, or any other user's data or Discord account.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or non-public data from the Services, except where the law expressly permits it.
• Abuse, spam, or automate requests to the bot or our API in a way that degrades the Services for others, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas.
• Exploit bugs, duplication glitches, or unintended behavior — including in leveling, games, and seasonal events — to gain an advantage, and you must report such issues to us instead.
• Impersonate Strelitzia, our staff, or another user, or resell or redistribute access to the Services without our written permission.

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, restricting features, or blocking a user or server from the Services.

"User Content" means anything you or your server submits through the Services — messages the bot processes, ticket transcripts, form responses, welcome and log message templates, embeds, and configuration you enter in the dashboard.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services.

You are responsible for your User Content and for the way your server uses the Services. Server administrators are responsible for configuring features appropriately, for what their moderators do with tools such as logging and moderation, and for telling their members which features are enabled.

We do not pre-screen User Content, but we may remove content or disable a feature if we believe it violates these Terms or the law.

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It explains what we collect (such as Discord user, server, and channel IDs, and the settings you configure), what we analyze without storing, and how to contact us about your data.

In short: we collect what we need to run the features your server has enabled, and we do not sell collected data. Please read the Privacy Policy in full before using the Services.

We aim to keep the Services running, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. The Services depend on Discord's platform and other third-party providers, and outages or changes on their side can interrupt or permanently change what Strelitzia can do.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services — including individual features, tiers, or the free availability of the bot — at any time, with or without notice.

We do not guarantee that data stored through the Services will be retained indefinitely, and we are not a backup service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will meet your requirements, that moderation or logging features will catch every relevant event, or that any defect will be corrected. You use the Services at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or server community, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty United States dollars (US$50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You may stop using the Services at any time by removing Strelitzia from your Discord server. Removing the bot ends your server's access to its features immediately.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, or any server's access, at any time and without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms, if your use puts the Services or other users at risk, or if we are required to do so by law or by Discord.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including User Content licences already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive it.

The Services are operated by [LEGAL ENTITY].

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree that the courts located in [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.

Material changes will be announced through our news page or our Discord server where practical. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, remove Strelitzia from your server.
